Palm Jebel Ali
Palm Jebel Ali was first reclaimed in the early 2000s and then paused for many years. In 2023 a new masterplan was approved, and Nakheel has since awarded marine, infrastructure and villa construction contracts. The island is now one of the largest waterfront projects in the city.
At a glance
Palm Jebel Ali is a Nakheel island development off the Jebel Ali coast, around twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, with a masterplan approved in 2023. It is planned to add about 110 kilometres of shoreline and more than 80 hotels and resorts.

Character
Spread across seven islands and sixteen fronds, Palm Jebel Ali is conceived on a larger, more open scale than its older sibling. Villas with beach frontage line the fronds, with resorts, public beaches and parks woven through the plan. The masterplan places a strong emphasis on sustainability, with around a third of its energy needs intended to come from renewable sources.

Day to day
This will be a place for those who want space and shoreline above all. Each frond is planned with its own public spaces, and the wider island with hotels, leisure and retail. As with any new island, much of that life is still to come, and early owners will see the community form around them.

Connections
The island lies off the coast at Jebel Ali, south west of Dubai Marina, and is reached from Sheikh Zayed Road by a new public access road. Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Expo City Dubai are within reasonable driving distance, as is Al Maktoum International Airport.
